Speaking Monday at the American Farm Bureau Federation annual meeting, Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue said new trade deals with China and others will require the Trump administration to look at helping farmers with labor issues as well.

The DTN/The Progressive Farmer Agriculture Confidence Index has risen significantly higher than in March and December 2018, as farmers ended 2019 with new optimism and were solid in their support for the Trump administration.
March corn is up 3 cents per bushel, March soybeans are up 4 1/4 cents, and March KC wheat is up 2 1/2 cents.
Following general pressure in most livestock trade late Tuesday, traders are looking for longer-term market direction as indications of steady cash trade may limit fundamental support in the coming days.
